Why Galaxy note 9 not getting any updates of one UI ? I am still using the one UI 2.5 version. Is galaxy note 9 still consider as premium phone? But in samsung midrange phones getting the updates like in A series. Why samsung just leave the phone which get older. A premium should always be a premium
Note 9 launch in 2018. More than 3 years old device. Software support for older Samsung flagships like the Note 9 and S9 stopped with Android 10, so these devices won't be upgraded to a One UI-flavored version of Android 11. Older Samsung high-end phones were only guaranteed two major OS upgrades, while newer ones bump the number up to three.
one UI 3 base on Android 11 . Hence, your phone stuck on UI 2.5. ANDROID 10.
Yes your are right premium should be premium ,hence in the year 2018 your phone come with 2 year OS updates. When other models not come with such 2 years OS update promise.
From Now as on Feb 2022 including S22 series ,Whatever new premium phones will come will be eligible for 4 years OS upgrade promise. Before Feb 2022 already launched premium phone(Note 10 to S21) come with 3 years OS promise. A,M,F series with 2 years OS.
Its Samsung policy hence ,you are not eligible for Update.
