No TPU can scratch any glass back of metal back but here is the catch The Dust particles trapped between Case and phone do this job.

Yes..such cases can cause damages to any device..because dust particle gets into these cases very easily and hence acts like a sandpaper on the phone...actually the main culprit are dust particles..
