Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra don’t support Jio True 5G in India

The Galaxy S20 Ultra and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra are two of Samsung’s top-end flagship devices. The company launched both flagships in 2020, featuring pro-grade hardware capabilities.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones are equipped with Samsung’s own made Exynos 990 (7nm) processor. Both of these devices are sold as 5G capable phones in the country, but now, consumers have to switch their carrier to Airtel or forget about 5G.

Jio confirmed to SammyFans that the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G is not listed to feature True 5G support in India. The OEM can not release 5G-supported firmware updates due to application processor limitations.

S20 series has Exynos 990 in India ,they don't support 5G,only modified Exynos 990 in note 20 supports 5G.

Its an iron box ,enabling 5G makes it further hot.
In gaming and tests it peaks at 60°C ,uff

S20 ultra have all the band required for sub6 5g.. but still Samsung is Samsung....try activating jio 5g on another device this is the only solution.. then it should work. It's too late, all the midrange devices got the update except the s20 ultra. How ridiculous is that 🙄

It will not support Jio 5G..I would suggest do not buy anything from samsung from now..they need to be taught a lesson for this..I have attached the conversation

I think it is network provider issue why Jio has selected SA technology which does not support note 20 ultra customers.Not think about us..

No, it's not Jio's fault. SA 5G is the true 5G. NSA 5g (Airtel, VI) are **bleep** 5g implementations that piggy back on existing 4g infrastructure to provide only faster internet.

Most advanced 5G workloads like VR etc will never work on NSA 5G.
