i have done this 2 times
and one time I have got Software update from the Samsung service Center
but still facing the same issue

did u load any heavy space occupying apps or any apps from chrome.until u have 40% of free space u won't experience any lag.for checking latest update available install smartswitch in laptop and connect your phone.u will be notified whether it is in latest version or not.

We understand you concern about "phone hanging". Kindly perform the below mentioned few of the quick steps:

1) Check space availability: keep at least ''minimum 20% internal memory free''.
-Settings > Device Care > Storage.

2) Check internal memory space: To improve the performance RAM of the device should be free. So, clear the RAM memory once in a day.
-Settings > Device care > Memory.
