after 100 percent the phone is smart enough it will stop charging the phone that is after reaching 100 percent phone will run on the power of charger in from the battery

people make hype about not charging it full it just myth origins yes the battery damages in 100 but it was the old technology new technology does not allow the battery to over charge so it is completely safe to have 100 percent charging it does not count cycle at all until and unless you are charging it from 0 to full .

most article states that we should not charge fully to 100 and most phone manufacturers also slow down charging when phone is getting near to 100 percent. even new tech battery used in cars avoid this.

though this is legitimate article but this was the case when phone have nithum caldi forgive me I dont the spelling properly . in old age of battery we have removable batteries that suffured lots of environment pressure that did damaged the whole battery by moisture and other factors in the old phones there was no protecting circuit to handle overcharging it changed after iphone introduced inbuilt battery with the protection circuit to avoid over charging problem that one battery is full the phone processor won't allow the current to flow in thus you have the complete protection against over charging

mobile battery only damages when you charge from 0 to 100
or over heating
