Note 8 gap between display and frame is it normal

there is gap between display and frame of my galaxy note 8 I can see the light between the frame and display on both the sides of the display is it normal

ya it's there. And when we view white background with full brightness we can see light leaking from those gap. every one facing this problem since galaxy s6 edge. I think it's common with all edge screen. according to Samsung glass is not directly glued with metal as metal will expand while heating so glass will break. So that little gap is design choice I think. how about the battery life u get.
