samsung gives only 2 major os updates and note 8 already got 2 updates so you will not get any os update

that is totally false news ...one of the customer care executive raised his hand for that ...Samsung already taken strictly action against him for rumours...because it's not the policy of Samsung alone...it's agreed policy between Google and other companies..as we know android comes from Google not from Samsung...so according to partnership agreement they clearly stated..not more than 2 major updates in sammy not more than 3 in one + ..and maximum 3 to 4 Google own pixels

You will not get ever. so move on or buy new phone. It is end of note 8 for any major updates. you will only get security patches.
