I have note 20 ultra SM-N9860, from past week the phone plays out a notification sound randomly during the day with no actual notification being shown or any screen flash. This happens atleast 2-3 times, things verified:
1. NFC is disabled
2. Notification reminder is disabled
3. Accessibility options are verified.
4. Checked all installed applications settings ,no access to notification apart from system apps.
5. The sound is not part of the list of available notification sounds
I have had this type of thing annoying me for so long and I've looked everywhere for the resolution and have come up empty handed until now. Here's the fix that I FINALLY found, hopefully it works for you or leads you to what will work.
My issue was all of the sudden my note 20 ultra 5G started playing a notification tone every time I turned on my flashlight and I could not find any reason for it or anywhere to adjust the setting. If you have your notification history turned on, like I do, when you hear the sound play, check your notification log. This notification doesn't show up like the standard/real ones do, but it will be listed in your notification log. When you find the event in the log, tap on it. For example, I have "System UI - Flashlight turned on". That will open the notification category for the System UI where you can either turn off 'Show Notifications' or change the notifications from 'Alert' to 'Silent'.
If you don't have the notification log turned on, turn it on, then follow the above.
I'm so happy to have gotten rid of this after being annoyed by it for well over a year. Hopefully it works for you.
