Galaxy NoteI am really angry. I have had my note 10 plus for only a few weeks. I am vacationing in central Mexico. I have been plagued by these moisture detected bug for days and days. It took 3 days and so many fixes to get it to go away last week and now it has returned and the fixes are no longer working. I am so pissed off!!!! My phone is broken and I am thousands of miles away from home.
So I have tried everything.
- first, Soft Reset phone.
- No change
- Dry out phone
- No Change
- Use alcohol in port and clean it out.
- No Change
- Store phone in rice for 24 then 48 hours
- No change
- Shut down phone and plug it in
- No change and it gives a warning and buzzes. Won't charge when turned off
- Get into recovery mode and wipe cache
- No change
- Also, OMFG!!! This is a nighmare on this phone. When you hold the power and volume up button, it goes into a warning stating I am trying to install a new operating system. I have to click the down volume button to restart the phone but this does not fix anything. It restarts and will not allow me to get into recovery. Then I found that for some dumb reason, Samsung requires us to plug the phone into a computer and use a USB when going into recovery mode. This worked one time but has not worked again. It just restarts, shows the note 10 screen and then flashes the Samsung screen and then restarts. It wont go into recovery no matter how many times I try. My phone has 10% battery left at this moment.
- Plug into computer and try to charge
- After multiple attempts this did finally work the first time last week. This week no change.
I am completely out of ideas. I have researched everything. This is a waterproof phone, it should not be this delicate when it comes to water. It would be great if a waterproof plug was in the box so if we are planning on going around water, we could give it extra protection. This phone has never been under water and only experienced a few splashes of water. I am in central Mexico and I cannot get any repair parts to fix this at this time. I buy note products because they are waterproof and I spend a lot of time near water.
Now 11 days into my trip I am stranded without a phone again. I am so not happy!
