Hi, I am Using a Galaxy Note 10 Plus. Is there any way to Use wifi calling in Airplane mode. In my wife's IPhone its possible to do So and its very convenient as the place we are living in has very poor network coverage..
Because in places with very low signal like mine, phone will be always looking to find some signal which results in Increased Battery Drain along with a Rise in Electromagnetic Radiation ( both hurts ). So if we can switch on wifi calling manually without cellular signal as advertised by samsung (and as in case of Iphone) its really helpfull .it will also increase the call quality as call won't be continuously switching between mobile and wifi signal.
I suggest write to Samsung in feedback section of help in this members app in first page. Mind you you will get a chatbot reply but surely they will pass on to the developers.
Its not like that... when phone is in Airplane mode then all sims get deactivated, due to which phone cannot determine which company/carrier's sim is there inside it. Hence even if phone is latched to a wifi network and wifi calling os turned on, it could not determine which carrier's network ot has to connect. on other hand when sim is there, there is no network and airplane mode is not switched on, at this instance phone knows which carrier's network it has to latch itself. Hence now if it gets wifi connection and wifi calling is switched on, then it will try to connect to that network through internet using wifi calling.
Hence, firstly, I dont believe phone can do wifi calling in airplane mode and secondly, if it does so then maybe, phone is remembering the carrier's option of wifi calling. also ppl need to understand that network operators dont want you to switch on airplane mode here in India and travel abroad and get connected to India via wifi calling from other countries. Think abt it.
