Please perform a soft reset of your device afterward.
Press and hold the power and volume down buttons for about 10 seconds.

hi, this issue us related to your Google play library. all you need to do is reset the device. the reason why the icons are greyed out is because there are default apps that need to be installed once the device is being set up, if you skip that process to downloading plenty apps before the default apps are loaded, you will experience the Google play store failure to download apps, thereby graying them up
I did all that prior ur text but nothing helped until it came ryt on it's own after some updates and most of my friends experienced same issue about same period
