Fingerprint issue with note 20 ultra

After recent upgrades my fingerprint started working slow and now it's completely dead.
I did factory reset, cache clearing everything.
It doesn't let me add a fingerprint. When i try, it says make sure your sensor area is clean and dry. Then it says press harder and nothing happens.
I also don't use any screen protection as well. Touch sensitivity is on

Can anyone suggest anything else to try or do you also observe issues like this?

☹️ I guess no hopes then, will update if anything changes.
I've also tried the factory reset, configured as new phone. No restore from backups nothing. But no luck with fingerprint.
The phone battery backup has dramatically increased though. I think all reporting battery issues after last update should clean factory reset

Yeah same here. I didn't notice any battery improvements though.
I have decided to hold off for the moment and keep on using the same screen as there is no other issue than fp sensor. I also want to wait for the next update. Who knows it starts working again as miracles happen. Otherwise we can get the screen replaced later as well even after the warranty is expired.

Some tempered glass cause this problem after the phone updates, so you've to re-register the fingerprint! I use a film screen protector from Gadgetshieldz and I never had issues with the fingerprint reading; after the update, mine works fine!

I removed the screen protector and now i am using without anyone. Its not reading fingerprints even samsung care told, it requires screen replacement. Now what can be done?

Then you've to go to the Samsung service center or call customer care, for me it is working perfectly fine with this screen protector!

In my case (Note20) the fingerprint is working fine without tempered glass ON. But it used to work with the same tempered glass before the July update which makes it maybe less sensitive. Don't really know whats the issue with samsung updates. And i we haven't recieved the August update yet😒 its stuck on July patch.

You can do it manually. Download the latest update. Google it.

No such issues here after latest updates.
