Does anyone know what causes this? My first note 20 ultra never had this issue. Please look at the fingerprint area. If you tap the sensor once (not long enough for it to unlock) there doesn't seem to be any blemish or issue with the graphical appearance of the fingerprint scanner.

However if you keep your finger (any finger) on it for long enough. The graphics does a circular swirling motion. However there's a piece that's totally cut off. And it just doesn't go away. This phone is only a month old. And in South Africa, the price of this phone is more than some people's vehicles that they drive. So it's definitely something I want sorted out, or if someone can confirm this is maybe a fingerprint scanner issue or something, then I would do a warranty claim with Samsung. Or do you feel that it will be fixed on the next update?

That's the unlock animation, you can switch it off in the settings for the fingerprint

Back up your files and reset it. It should be OK

Thank you. I think I will give this a try right now. Lol it bothers me when things aren't right.

@NicholasSankar Good that you manage to resolve your problem

The issue has returned this morning after a good night's sleep. I have no idea what variable is causing this

To anyone having this issue I have found the variable that causes this issue on the Biometrics animation. In the Biometrics settings is a option for keeping the fingerprint sensor on while the screen is off. Enabling this, and disabling it, rectifies the issue ( Not sure for how long) as I only discovered this now. But turning it on removes the blemish in the animation. I guess it's a software issue and will be patiently waiting for Samsung's next update.

My biometric sensor seemed to not be responding after updating to ui 4. Thanks Nicholas, this worked for me.
