Exynos is **bleep**

Is it only for me? Or everyone?

I am hardly getting 3 to 4 hours of SOT with my Galaxy note 20 ultra 5G. Mine is Exynos variant.

You should have done some research before buying the device. When note 20 had launched reviewers had complained about the battery life especially the exynos 990 version. Even in battery test the snapdragon version used to perform much better than the exynos one

Snapdragon variant is not available in India and I have been a note series user from 2013. I think its time to end it

I've not had the time yet to drain my phone battery completely in one day and use it extensively, but I am definitely getting way better battery backup than my old Note 8. I've put unwanted apps to deep sleep and turned off unwanted features from Connections and Advanced Features like Nearby share, Quick share, NFC, etc. These are ON by default and people don't realize this. We don't need this ON all the time.
You can also turn off 5G for now as it's not yet available anyways.

Swipe down the notification panel and drag all the icons in active space, that way you can check which features are unnecessarily ON.

In my opinion, Exynos has just god bad rep due to side to side comparison with Snapdragon just in games like PUBG and all. Battery life maybe like 30 min. longer on SD (real-life usage, not some side by side comparison, that's pointless). I am also not having 'heating' issues. In the 1st week of purchase, heating and battery drain is normal in any phone. After 1 week, the battery learns your usage and adapts accordingly.

I upgraded from 4 year old Note 8 when Note 20 Ultra was on a heavy discount recently, so the difference in all areas is huge for me and totally worth it.

Battery optimization helps you to boost the battery performance of your device. To check battery optimization:

Settings > Select Device Maintenance/Device Care > Optimize > Optimize all options like Battery, Storage and Memory

Kindly turn off the smart features of the device and other connectivity features when not in use, which will eventually help you to reduce battery power consumption (smart features such as Motion gestures in advance feature and Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Hotspot, etc.).

Please follow the below steps:
1. Swipe down on the home screen to open the notification panel.
2. Tap on Bluetooth, Location/GPS, Wi-Fi, Mobile hotspot, NFC, etc. to turn off.
