I would like to know if samsung can update their Note 9 or S9 camera via a software update to match upto the competitors like Pixel3and Iphone XS. I would like to see more depth in the picture such as night shots and especially potraits with less noise. Let me know your opinion friends.
To be honest it can. Smartphones use almost identical sensors. The main thing that gets the image its colors and tones is the image processing. This can very well be updated/improved by software updates. Like in a recent update for note 9 thr SNR (Signal to Noise ratio) was updated for better low light performance. similarly hdr capabilities can also be updated via software
The september update did contain the SNR update. It did improve a lot on the camera performance. But noticeable only to people who look at their photos in detail.
