Camera fails in night node on note 9

I am regularly facing this bug where camera fails when I am trying to take a pic in night mode.  It used to happen rarely but the frequency has become high now and the mode is almost rendered unusable. I have read about a temporary solution that taking pics in 16:9 aspect ratio fixes it and the camera does not crash. But since that lowers the resolution, it really is not a proper solution.  

Just wondering if anybody else is observing the same and if there is any fix for it. Seems like a software issue though.

already done. clearing data of an app has never fixed an issue in the history of android.

sporadicity is the problem. whenever I want to take the photo, it crashes, other time when I am just checking it works. 😅

seems to be software issue...missing file during last security patch update

i assume that you tried to install any unsupported camera app on your device or for some reason CameraX API android dependencies are currupted , to overcome this you need to do factory reset

bro it is a software fault even if he resets the phone the problem will still tend to exist
