Hi guys,

When i got my samsung note 10 plus in 02.02.2020 i was super satisfied. My battery life was 1,5 day in average.

But recently i noticed that since i got that **bleep** Android 11 OneUI 3.1 installed my battery life got super bad. I have to charge my phone mid of the day. And my phone usage did not change over the years.

Is the root cause that i did that over the air updates? and not a factory reset before upgrading?

Guys i do not pay a premium price to get banana software updates that gets ribe on my samsung note 10 plus.

IT COSTED ME A THOUSAND BUCKS!!!

Please do not drag me to switch the brand or the entire eco system.

Cheers

Jonathan

Hey check the apps which are draining your battery and put them to sleep mode if they are not in use this may help

You should do a factory reset after ota updates not before. Put most of the infrequent apps to deep sleep. If possible, go to a service centre and do a firmware reinstall.

Over the air updates is not a virus which will cause the battery to deplete. There are many uneducated people here on the forums who spread false information about OTA updates. I'm also facing battery drain issues but that is completely due to Android 11. One more factor is battery health. If you have continuously been using fast charging since the day you bought your phone then it is natural that your battery health would have detoriorated faster.
Android 12 is said to be less power hungry so let's wait for the next big update on our devices and I would also recommend you to get your battery replaced. I'll get mine done once lockdown is lifted. My phone will complete 2 years in September and I plan to use it for another 1 year.
