The Note 8 will be skipping the 8.1 update and will receive the 9.0 directly instead. There are only minor changes in between 8.0 and 8.1 anyway. Cheers!

Project treble has got nothing to do with pie update. It'll definitely get the update within this year. Just a question of time.
