Hi All As soon as phone is locked, gets into standby, it appears the wifi connection stops. I do not receive any whatsapp message until the phone is in standby. As soon as I unlock the phone, the connection starts working and I receive all the messages.
If I connect to mobile data, there is no problem. The message is received as soon as it comes, even if the phone is standby.
Please perform the below mentioned steps to resolve the issue:
1) Restart the Router and Mobile Device.
2) Kindly check and disable the Airplane/Flight Mode on your device.
For further assistance, register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Get help > Send Feedback > Error report/Ask questions).
I have contacted Samsung customer support, it looks like it is a bug. There is no option to keep wifi ON during phone sleep anymore. Apparently this option is there in few models but not in M31, hence the problem.
LOL are ytou kidding? my samsung has smae problem and never used airplane mode. 100's of the exact same problem all over google searsch . and this is the best answer? i for one will never buy samsung again . phones are horrible. cant get texts messages at all when phone screen locked. soon as you pick up they all come through. who needs the aggravation. apples works just fine .
