Since last 2-3  system updates which were sent by samsung for enhancing the  security and performance of the mobile, unwanted apps like games, snapchat etc gets install on mobile automatically. Want to know the reason behind same? Are these apps required for enhancing security????????? 🤨

I recieved "Google DUO" as a system app after the march security update, but i haven't got any games or apps like snapchat though, it's probably something that samsung earns money by putting different apps.

Samsung's software updates do bundle one or two unwanted apps that you can easily uninstall. Of course, nobody wants those, but that's probably a way of making money.

Also, if you open Galaxy Store after an update, it shows you a few popular apps that you may like. Some of those apps are selected by default. If you click on 'continue', they get installed. Make sure to deselect them before proceeding to the Galaxy Store home screen.

With the latest update that I installed yesterday on my Samsung M30s, I got Snapchat, MX Taka Tak, and Moj.. I uninstalled yesterday and today these got auto installed again.

I HATE IT TO THE CORE WHEN THEY INSTALL JUNK APPS AS PART OF UPDATES. SHAME ON SAMSUNG.

Samsungs mandatory "updates" not only cause issues for their customers with bugs (constantly), they install software which CANNOT be uninstalled (YouTube? Never asked for it, don't want it). A  phone is no longer really a phone, it's basically a mobile, handheld computer. Through contractual obligations (and for obvious functionality reasons) users are required to allow a certain number of updates, NOT software installations. Let's be clear, companies like Samsung do not install most of these unwanted applications because they might improve user experience. They install them because they are financially motivated to do so. Whether these apps "may" be something we like is not the issue---we are not guinea pigs for Samsungs user experience surveys. We did not ask for them, Samsung is violating our basic property rights by trespassing on our phones with unwanted products. Samsung has no right to deviate beyond the scope of basic software updates. By installing MULTIPLE unwanted and unrequested applications, our hand held computer is no longer the product we purchased. It has been mutilated and transformed into what Samsung believes is "best for us". As a result, the item I paid for a couple years ago has been essentially stolen from me, and Samsung is liable for refunding me (and every other victim) the entire purchase amount of my phone. This is a class-action suit that needs to happen. Companies like Samsung need to be "put in check". The last thing we need (in this country atleast) is a large group of foreigners dictating to us our consumer habits.

On my Note 20 Ultra I just updated to OneUI 3.1 and it installed at least 10 or 11 apps on my phone ranging from Microsoft Outlook to Raid Shadow Legends. That's completely unacceptable on a high end device.

this is a clear violation of canadas anti spam legislation (one which carries a fine of upto a million dollars). perhaps if it becomes less profitable to include the software than to add it, Samsung will reconsider its policies  report here https://fightspam.gc.ca/eic/site/030.nsf/frm-eng/MMCN-9EZV6S?Open&$sid=STRS-CEVNAU
