After the latest update in galaxy M31 the charging problem has arrived it is very very long time to charge the phone solve it faster

see ...first of all remember Samsung allaways provides non A/ B partition type of ota software not like other company A B type...hence someone if simply updated that software by mobile data or wifi then maximum times it can create software holes or glitches over software by damaging software side...if you believe it or not but this is the truth...so it's better to use smart switch or odin flash or if possible then flash software by authorized Samsung service center is allaways the proper procedure or recommended....thatswhy Samsung introduced smart switch that people's can get software hole free highest performance of devices but people doing same mistakes repeatedly and facing different different types of issues in device by which this forum is full with....simply mobile data or wifi can maximum times create issues if that software will not installed fully or correctly then it leads to various types of issues such as battery drain faster, ui lag, poor gaming experience, ghost touch, brightness or display colour banding issue, not charging properly, charging stuck on 85%,battery draining faster without use ,camera issue etc .....so a factory reset can clean few software glitches.....but it's better allaways to use smart switch for software install 👍maximum people do that only to overcome software holes not a single issue present in their devices including me

The smart switch that has to be done between the two mobiles has to be of the same model?

install smart switch in device as well as pc ....plug by cable ..start both smart switch..automatically pc detect if software update is available....install it

The sad thing is that I don't have a computer at the moment

Dont worry no company is dumb they know how OTA works otherwise what is the point of OTA updates. All phones perform security checks to see if the received data is corrupt or incomplete only after that the real installation begins.

To resolve this issue kindly switch off Handset for 5 minutes to cool down and recheck if its working fine.

And Samsung customer’s safety is on top priority that is why this concept is introduced with logic that whenever handset temp. or ambient air temp. goes up to certain set limit, then device automatically restrict fast charging or even some time stops charging. But post device temperature reaches to normal after cooling down the set, then automatically set starts charging normally (This is implemented in all Smartphone models from year 2019 ).

If the issue still persists, kindly visit the nearest Samsung service center.
