Security patches along with Software Enhancements on midrange devices(M-series) will come quarterly as said by Samsung but they do come 5-6 times a year. Previously they used to be in 1-2 month cycle. Although this doesn't count with a new OS upgrade, you will get Android 10 next year after A-series is updated.

I am using the same device broi..no probs regarding ur query is faced till now...I think if u factory reset ur phone perhaps it might resolve ur issues or pls give it for servicing to the nearest Samsung authorized service center..
