calls keep getting put on hold

My cheeks keeps pressing the hold button while on call. Is there a way to change call menu options while on call ? I.e the 3 dots that appear after attending a call,  how to change that menu

Is your proximity sensor not working? The screen should turn off the moment you put your phone on your ears.

its working, the screen goes off but somehow the hold or record buttons are getting pressed. may be when my ear touches multiple times, the screen gets unlocked

The moment you call someone or answer a call, press the lock button when the screen is on. That is the only way.

I do that but any movement of the ear detected by the phone while talking activates the hold or record button..it is extremely annoying
