Yes. When they turn off hardware features, they do it in frameworks, HALs, SystemUI, CSC, and kernel too (probably).

Its a headache when someone (like a custom dev) wants to enable it using root and custom kernels, since its almost disabled everywhere. Making it impossible.

Of feedback from unique users (respect to no. of sales of device across all platforms), to add a premium feature.
