Hi, I m facing some issue in sending sms. I m having Samsung M31. I only have 1 Sim. I just reset my phone. Before the factory reset I was able to send messages.
* I can make calls, access internet, receive messages but I can't send messages.
* I have active plan with 100 sms free from airtel.
* I have completely updated my software, I restarted my phone, did clear catch, clear data still message can't be sent.
* Did reset network settings too
* Due to this I cannot use any online payment services. What should I do can anyone help ?
* I tried goggling and found that you should set message center number but it is not set in my mobile.
* If I set the number available online, it says "Unable to save center address" & not accepting the number and remains not set. What else can I do ?
*;Smsc setting is available only in google messages but it is disabled and states "Not available"

I faced the same issue when I changed my mob to S23 FE. Two options Airtel customer care provided were,
1) put another Airtel sim in the phone and check if the Smsc number get updated
2) they will send configuration messages (CP messages) install them and see if it works.
In my case, both the options didn't work. With another Airtel sim I was able to see the Smsc number and messaging was happening.but Smsc number disappeared when I changed back to my sim . Installing the the configuration files send via CP message also didn't work for me. Finally changing the sim with cost of Rs:50 worked.

Check if Smsc number is available. If not then check with service provider.. might need to update/replace the sim card

Smsc is not available in phone settings or Samsung message settings. It is found in google messages but it is disabled and stating "not available".

Airtel right.. Go to any Airtel store.. They will give you a new sim. Call and other services will be activated in 4hrs in the new sim. Sms takes up to 24hrs.
