I've been a loyal Samsung user for over 8 years and recently purchased the Galaxy M35. After updating to One UI 7.0 via the official OTA update (not beta), I immediately noticed several performance issues that were not present in One UI 6.0.

1. Slowness and Lag: The overall UI became sluggish. Multitasking caused noticeable frame drops and system lag. For example, while listening to music and booking a ride on Rapido, the music would pause and the device would stutter.

2. 120Hz Display Feels Like 60Hz or Lower: Even with 120Hz enabled, the screen animations felt choppy and inconsistent — as if it was stuck at a lower refresh rate. This made the experience unpleasant and laggy.

3. Sound Quality Degraded: After the update, I noticed a clear drop in audio quality. It felt less crisp and more muffled, which suggests possible sound driver or firmware issues in this version.

4. YouTube PIP Lag: The Picture-in-Picture feature, especially with YouTube, became unstable — it lagged and sometimes even froze.

At the time of updating, my storage was about 70% full. However, after downgrading back to One UI 6.0 (binary U4) with a clean installation, all of these problems disappeared. The phone now runs smooth, sound quality is back to normal, the display feels fluid, and no background lag occurs.

I’m confused why this happened on an official stable release. Is there any known issue or ongoing optimization for M35 users? Can Samsung share any information about an upcoming fix or One UI 7.1 patch to address this?

Thank you for your continued innovation — hoping this feedback helps and that a performance patch is released soon.
