Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we would request you to kindly perform the following steps to resolve your microphone and speaker not working issues.

Check 1. Clean your phone's microphone: The phone may not be able to recognize your voice well if the microphone hole is blocked by foreign objects such as an attachable protective cover or a protective vinyl placed on the phone before purchase. The microphone is located at the bottom of your phone. Make sure that no foreign matter is blocking the microphone hole and try again after removing anything you find.

2. Disconnect anything plugged into the headphone jack like, a selfie stick, headphones, Bluetooth, etc.
Remove any third-party case, protective films, or any other accessory that usually comes in contact with your device.

3. Check device volume settings: Tap on Settings > Sound & vibration>Volume > Drag the volume adjustment bar left or right to increase or decrease the device volume.
To verify, play music and check the music sound. If the sound quality is good, then your speaker is working fine.

4. Clear Sound Picker data: Settings> Apps> Filter and Sort> Enable Show system apps> OK>Search Sound Picker> Storage> Clear data of Sound Picker.

5. Clear Sound Alive data: Settings> Apps> Filter and Sort> Enable Show system apps> OK>Search Sound Alive> Storage> Clear data.

6. Clear Adapt sound data: Settings> Apps> Filter and Sort> Enable Show system apps> OK>Search Adapt Sound> Storage> Clear data.

7. Reset app preferences: Settings> Apps> Three dots> Reset app preferences> Reset.
