Regarding software update in m33 5g

Hi, I have a query- I purchased m33 5g in September 2022, and didn't update it till today due to the fear of bugs. But now I want to use jio5g but is unable to see any 5g symbol.

So, I checked various forums and YouTube videos and found that I need to update my software because Samsung didn't enable 5G features by default.

I have checked I have jio welcome offer my area is 5G enabled I have selected preferred network as 5G I have also tried resetting the network settings but it is not working. I have check my SIM in another phone and its working fine in that so obviously SIM is not faulty.

So I want to know how to update software because I am on Android 12 but the latest update is showing for security batch August for Android 13 and the update size is 225 MB.

1. So after doing update will my phone updates to Android 13 or it will only push security update for Android 12.

2. Is this update stable update or bring any kind of bugs because I am updating only for 5G.

No problem in updating your phone to latest software, I am also using M33 5G and there is no problem with my phone till date. Yes, it's TRUE that 5G will be enabled after the upgrading your phone. Android 13 stable version was released in last year and the security updates are also being received to me and the last security patch update was on October.

Thanks for the reply. So after doing update now after 1year, will my phone updates to Android 13 or it will only push security update for Android 12. Also, will that enable 5g. Update details and my current software info is attached.

It will update your phone to Android 13
And there is no bugs and problems in Android 13
And another thing
You have to update it step by step
You will get security patches and bug fixes update first
When you finish updating that, then you will get Android 13

Like this - Android 12 - Security patches - Android 13

Go to settings/Software update and check it

Hello, in the process of updating the software, I was reminded to backup my data. So I have now backedup all my data.

But I also came across a discussion on this member's portal where users are complaining of bugs that came after updating the August security patch level which is received in october.

So, will it actually have bugs as reported by other users or it is dependent on any other factors..?

It is good to take data backup. There is no fear of losing any data while updating.
There are no bugs. Sometimes people do not understand the feature and misinterprete it as a bug. I have been using m33 5g since last ine years. No prblem at all and I update my phone as soon as the update is available

I have updated the 1st batch of security update but need to update further batches with Android 13.

Good thing is that 5g is now enabled. But it switches to LTE while calling.

Is there any issue or if currently this is happening for all ?
