When I first bought the phone and it ran on One U.I. 2.0 there was a unique thing I had noticed. While flippling between the front and back cameras, you could notice a unique kind of lighting under the front camera which went off in less than a second. It was still visible in One UI 2.1 but after the 2.5 update, I don't see it anymore.
This unique led lighting is now forgotten part of Samsung feature.
I would request the Samsung Developer team to look into it. If this led lighting could me made into a notification light. I am really reluctant to use any third party apps for such meagre issues when it could be sorted out by a simple tweeking by the Samsung Developers.
