Hello,

I have mobile hotspot issues on my M34.
Internet speed is very slow when connected to Hotspot. But internet on phone (4G & 5G) works with any issues.
Often internet gets cut off even when the Hotspot is ON.

I had to turn off and on the Hotspot to resolve it.

I already tried basic troubleshooting steps with no luck.
I never had this issue on my M31.

Is there any way to resolve it?

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we want to inform you that while using a hotspot the internet speed would be slow because two devices use the data at the same time, it is not an issue it is a concept of every device. However, if you share the hotspot or take it, it also depends on the speed of wi-fi signals.

If you want then you can visit the service center once for a physical inspection of your device. You can locate your nearest service center with this given link: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/service-center/

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support

So, here is the update.

When I bought the phone, I disabled 5G and used 4G LTE.
I thought 5G might drain the battery faster and I was fine with 4G speed.

But, that seems to be the issue.

Once I turned the 5G back on, I did not see the Hotspot connectivity and speed issue.

In the same location/spot, 5G has around - 80dBm signal and 4G has around -100 dBm signal.

Not sure if it's related anyhow.
Hotspot works so far once I enabled 5G from mobile networks again.

Let's see. 🤞🤞
