Is YouTube using camera without permission🤨🤨🤨🧐 ???

Whenever I play music on YouTube and left the phone then the video gets paused and this message appears. 

My thinking is that yt uses camera without that how yt will get to know that I have lifted my phone.

You said auto pause, play etc are turned off? Anyway I use brave browser for playing youtube videos and has uninstalled youtube app using adb a long time ago. So, I have never faced this thing.

Edit: it is not possible to turn off this feature of YouTube because they don't want to increase the traffic by playing a video when the user is not actively watching as it's not adding to Ad revenue.
So the only option is to use a browser.
