How do I use a Highlighter in Photo Edit using in-built Gallery app?

I don't wanna install any editing apps but I welcome some ad-free app recommendations in case there is no way to use HIGHLIGHTER in photo edits.. 

For example, i wann HIGHLIGHT few lines from a book page such that the Lines are readable still.

I use Galaxy M51 phone.

open Image in Gallery > Edit > Draw > Select Pen and use Highlighter.

how do you get straight highlighted lines? skilled finger or am I missing something again?

Nope You are not missing anything. This is neither a skilled finger nor You are missing Something. This I have done from Adobe Acrobat PDF application.

just open image >click on edit icon then choose pen icon this task easily can be done by inbuilt option
