As per your concern, we would request you to kindly perform the following steps to transfer data into PC / laptop from Mobile.
● Galaxy device data transfer data thourgh USB: Please enable the file/ data transfer option first from device settings and try after that to transfer data from the device to the laptop by following the below-given steps.
1. Unlock your phone, and then connect it to a computer using the USB cable.
2. On the phone, a notification about the USB connection may appear, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Notification panel, and then tap the notification.
3. Select the option for MTP or Transferring files.
Note: If you are having any trouble getting your PC/ Laptop to recognize your phone, check out our guide.
4. Next, open the Laptop File Explorer program, and then click on the name of your phone in the side menu.
● Transfer data using smart switch: Install Smart Switch on your compatible device.
→Whether you're using a Windows PC or a Mac, you can download Smart Switch for your computer from the Smart Switch page.
→IYou can also find links there to install Smart Switch on your mobile device. Be sure you have installed Smart Switch on both your computer and mobile device before you get started.
→IAndroid Requirements: Android 4.3 or higher is required for general transfers. To transfer encrypted data, you must have Android 7.0 or higher.
→IiOS Requirements: For cable transfers, you must have iOS 5 or higher. To transfer using Wi-Fi, you must have iOS 12 or higher.
→IMac Requirements: MacOS 10.9 or later
→IWindows Requirements: Windows 10 or later
● Create a backup: →After installing Smart Switch, you will need to back up content from your old phone and save it on your PC or Mac.
→Connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable, and then tap Allow on your phone.
→Next, navigate to and open Smart Switch on your computer, and then click Backup. Your computer will automatically start backing up your phone's data, which may take several minutes.
→When it is done, a screen will appear informing you it is complete. Click OK.
● If your computer does not have a USB-C port, you can use a OTG adapter to connect your phone with the USB cable. Many cables will require a OTG adapter. However, if you have a lightning to USB-C cable or a USB-C to USB-C cable, then you will not need an adapter; it will plug right into your device.
● Default Save Location: When you back up your old phone's content on a PC or Mac, the files are automatically stored in a default location (unless you have chosen a different location). Here are the default locations, so you will know where everything is stored:
● Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Samsung\Smart Switch PC.
● Windows 10: C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Samsung\SmartSwitch
● Mac OS X: /Users/[username]/Documents/Samsung/SmartSwitch/backup
Note: To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type appdata and press the Enter key.

● You can use Smart Switch to transfer the backup files on your computer onto your new phone, so you can enjoy your music and photos on the go. But first, turn off or temporarily disable your firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware, and other security tools on your PC, so your files can transfer
● Open Smart Switch on your computer. When prompted, connect your new Galaxy phone to the computer using the USB cable. Once it is connected, the Smart Switch screen will appear.
● On your computer, click Restore and, if desired, click Select your backup data to choose specific data to restore. When you are ready, click Restore now. Once restoration is complete, click OK.
Note: You may need to allow permissions on your phone to complete the backup.
Sync With Outlook App: ● On a PC, click Outlook Sync on the Smart Switch screen. If you are not already logged into your account, sign in with your Microsoft Outlook credentials. ● Next, click Sync Preferences for Outlook, select what you want to sync, and then click OK. Click Sync Now, and then click Confirm when finished.
● On a Mac, click Sync on the Smart Switch screen. Choose specific content to sync from your computer, and then click Sync Now. When syncing is complete, click Confirm.
