I own multiple samsung devices.
First, I got display grey/green tint issue after updating my galaxy m51 to the latest security patch. Blacks were showing as white/grey on the screen even though it's an amoled display.

Second, I updated two of my galaxy m52 to the latest security patch of may 2024, and both of them got green line issue on the display.

Contacted samsung via mail, no reply.
Contacted on call, representative is telling me to pay charges for this since these phones are out of warranty. This issue is not my fault since all three issues were due to a faulty software update causing voltage fluctuations and therefore permanent display damage. 
Please note that all three phones have no physical or water damage, not even a single scratch on the screen.

No one's as disappointed and frustrated at samsung than I am.

I'll proceed with my complain to the national consumer forum , national consumer helpline and the nodal head because it's a straight up violation of Indian consumer's rights.

Yes I'll do that. Although separate teams are reaching out for the same issue, but I'll visit once I get positive confirmation from the team regarding my issue. I'll then go and create a job sheet ASAP.
Taking 3 phones together is a task in itself hahaha.

If you have the job sheet with you, that's enough. Do not visit the service center again as that would of no use. Ask for the email confirmation from the support team that you already have the job sheet. Out of my personal experience, service centre will not even touch your phone without having any email from the support team. ALSO, Please do not forget to ask the support team to keep you in email loop if there has been any email chat happening between the service center & support team regarding your device. The reason is because the service centre people will deny saying that they have not got any confirmation email from the support

However, even after doing all this, I hope you will succeed because I couldn't get any success in following up their process bcoz their support I simply disgusting

I've seen posts wherein people have recorded the incident while it happened during the update.
Its crystal clear as to the actual reason of the green line issue.
The only thing that remains is to admit it by samsung.

Hello everyone.

It has been more than 72 hours since I provided my contact details to samsung costomer support team and heard no response, therefore I am going ahead with filing my written complaint through National consumer helpline to the National Consumer Court.

I will keep you all updated throughout.

I registered complaint and did everything possible and samsung casre called me today for final resolution and they told I will have to pay display replacement cost. Also they have accepted that this has happened due to technical glitch.

However, if this happens to me to , I will not pay and pursue my case in consumer court.
I have 3 phones that are worthless to me right now. There is a nasty dent on my faith in samsung since every electronics in my house is samsung!
I'll see how they deal with this.
