Contacts getting deleted automatically

Few days ago I saw that some contacs are deleted from my phone. I navigated to contacts recycle bin. I found bunch of contacts in trash which i never deleted. Again after 2 days i opened recycle bin and found some more contacts deleted. 

My contacts are getting deleted on their own. Is there a software bug or what? Did anyone else have this issue.

Please check your contacts trash too.

I just noticed this issue. I am using s20, I noticed 100s of my contacts were automatically deleted. This happened on 17th and 19th of April. I can see in this thread that samsung is unable to give a resolution. They are having a lot of problem with their UI and Apps, for a very long time I was not able to open any pdf attachment on dual messenger whats app and now this.

Few days back I was thinking to go with whole Samsung Ecosystem (Mobile, Watch, TV, Galaxy Book 2 etc) but now I am thinking that I should have gone with Apple, one thing samsung is not understanding is that user like me will not change only their phone, they will change the whole ecosystem.

Samsung contacts are deleting automatically and moving to recycle bin worst phone. I took samsung galaxy S22 Ultra when it's launch and now I am facing this problem.

I have also suffered with this random deletion of contacts.  Yesterday the phone deleted over 800 contacts, so like so many others I spent a considerable time restoring the deleted entries on the PC.  The phone is a galaxy S20 Ultra, A comment from the Samsung technical support team would be helpful.  This is supposed to be their flagship product, not in the least impressive....

hello, I am having the same issue for a month on an A52S 5G.

nearly every monday I find my phone without some hundreds of phone contacts.

I don't know what to say i was facing the same issue for like 3 months now but i didn't know that the deleted contacts are moved to trash , and everytime i google the issue i get wrong answers only today i discovered about the trash but i checked to know that contacts older than 30 days are gone forever

Now i lost some of most valuable contacts that i have and i don't know what to do, i always knew that samsung software team is the worst but i never thought they will allow such a stupid bug into thier high end phones

SAMSUNG should address the problem quickly and compensate affected people

Me too. I saw that some contacs are deleted from my phone. I navigated to contacts recycle bin. I found 1200 contacts deleted this month I just spoke to some of them before they disappeare into trash which i never deleted.

My contacts are getting deleted on their own. Is there a software bug ?

I have this issue too.  Contacts being deleted frequently.  When i login to google contacts on my laptop and go to the recycle bin my deleted contacts are there, under the deleted by column it reports that my phone has deleted them!  I restore the contacts and a few days later the contacts are randomly deleted again!  I have had this issue for a long time now on all of my samsung phones - other android phone do not do this, so this has to be a software bug samsungs end.  Samsung support is beyond useless as many of you have already said!! I love samsung products but their support is the absolute worst in the business!!  We really need to keep this thread going as this clearly is effecting a lot of people - hopefully samsung will take note of these issues/complaints and fix the sync/software bug.  It's beyond frustrating!
