Is it possible to hide a specific folder or protect a specific folder with a password?

no inbuilt such option in m series, you will have to download from playstore

only you can hide is album in galary
section
or can hide apps from homescreen settings

u can. just rename and add a .(dot) before the name of the folder.
suppose there is a folder named as music u want to hide
now rename it to .music and that's it. the folder is hidden and won't show up in file manager to see the folder go to settings menu of file manager and enable view hidden folder feature.
