Block internet access of WhatsApp. Please Help

Very disappointed with Samsung m31, you can't do so many things which can easily be done on any other android or iOS device. For now I just want to block internet access of a particular app, eg WhatsApp. Restricting background data for WhatsApp doesn't work, force stopping WhatsApp works for some time only and it again starts working.

Yeah, much needed feature. There's only option to either make it to Mobile Data only or WiFi only. No way to block it completely.

Although wifi mobile data only feature is available but then to I can receive messages when I change the setting to mobile data only. Can anyone help on how to disable only wifi for whatsapp
