My device is Samsung M21, can I go for update, 

Is there any issue with software update?

It is a big update. So normally u get some small bugs. That not make a big issue in ur phone. If any bugs come it will remove in next software updation. Don't worry just update it

I can't even use my mobile, it hangs in between, keeps restarting, which makes frustrating

Only 5 hour screen on time with new update and that too with normal calling and browsing
