Adaptive brightness not working in M35

I bought this m35 phone on may month from flipkart this year from the beginning it was working 
If I restart the device then it again starts working for 2-3 hours 
When I talked to customer care they said 
To reset setting, it was working for few hours I didn't understand initially but after updating to latest software it persists 

Samsung is just scamming 
[You can see 5 year old m11 adaptive brightness working correctly)

I really think you should give service center a visit.
It might be a sensor issue.

I think the proximity sensor needs to be replaced. Please visit a service center, or you may use the pick-up and drop-off service if it's available in your city.

To share the log file: Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on send feedback> Choose Composer> Select error report> Select the appropriate issue category> Type your query and send.

Note: To ensure relevant log information is included in the error report, submit the report within 3 minutes of encountering the bug or error, and do not terminate (swipe away) the Samsung Members application until you are notified that the report has been sent. This can take up to 5 minutes.
