It's Samsung update policy. Economic Device can get atmost 1 or 2 Firmware updates whereas Premium phone's can get atleast 2 updates.

There is problrm with J7 max.It receives 1 major update which is oreo after long time.even low specs mobile received 2 msjor update allready.This is because j7 max has Mediatek processor which is not good reputation for giving source code which is essential for updates.There r many cases where mefistek powered mobile get only one major update.So thats the reason j7 max not get updates more.Never buy any Mediatek powered device.
