USB not working in J7 Max.

Hi,

I am using Samsung Galaxy J7 Max for the past 7 years. Suddenly my USB stopped working few years. I didn't do anything cause I didn't need it. Now I am in a need of transferring few files to my laptop and also need to debug my mobile (USB debugging). Please help me with this issue.

Note:

1. I tried changing USB cables so many times. Those cables are working with other devices.

2. With same cables I can able to charge my mobile.

Goto to developer settings there you will find usb debugging

Hi there. I have enabled USB debugging. Also configured USB for MIDI. Still it is not working.

Do Diagnostic from Samsung Member app
Steps :
1. After open app in bottom you see discover, Community, Support
2. Click on Support
3. Then click on Phone Diagnostic
4. Select Cable Charging Option

Hi, I tried it out. The test passes when it comes to charging but fails when it is USB connection. Thanks for your response. 👍

Then use other USB cable

for USB debugging turn on developer mode
for transfering data you can do it wireless

Seema like your charging connector is faulty. Can you hear the device connection sound when you connect it to pc?

Hi,
I can hear charger connected notification sound. But device is not found in my laptop or any laptop/computer. Even I tried so many different data cables.
