The PLS display in J7 Prime, not AMOLED.... why??

Please anyone let me know, how PLS display is better than the AMOLED ? It's just hard to believe why they chose this display technology over AMOLED...

PLS TFT is a variant of LCD, lcd is also TFT. PLS gives more accurate whites and satured colours with higher brightness compared to normal IPS LCD. Samsung made pls lcd/tft.

Simple, to keep the costs low. J7 Pro has 1080p amoled, you know how much that costs.

ultimately that is the buyer who has to bear the costs, but the choice is not so simple to make when all other specifications are compromised only for the display technology... if simply display has been SAMOLED one at least the j7 prime has got all best things in one bunch... A dent on Mercedes... ;)

Thank you for sharing your concern. Both Samsung displays are Good. PLS stands for Plane Line Switching , it produces more subtle and accurate color reproduction whereas Super AMOLED display is known better for contrast and deep blacks. Super AMOLED display has better outdoor visibility and is known to be more power efficient because black pixels are actually pixels that are turned off, rather than a mix of colors in the PLS.
