j7 pro has also the same processor but it gets pie update because samsung does not give more than 2 updates, so a7 2017 also don't get update which is a higher model when compared to j7 prime.

U got 2 Android version updates, u wont get anymore major updates..... Now u have to use custom roms to get Pie
