Notification issue

I am using Samsung Galaxy j8,  i am not getting watsapp notifications on top of my screen. I only see the messeges only when I open the watsapp app manually. After trying different methods of changing notification settings, nothing works at all. 

Can anybody help me out of fixing this notification issue?

Apna whatsapp reinstalled karo

Could be because you put whatsapp to sleeping apps list. Check that first.

No, I Have checked that also. Application is not kept under sleep.
