With Android 8.1.0 and Samsung experience version 9.5, it is possible to set default storage location for media files of Whatsapp and possibly other social networking apps to SD card, thus saving precious phone memory.

This setting may be done as follows:
1. Open settings and go to "Device maintenance".
2. Touch the icon "Storage" at the bottom of the screen.
3. A new screen will appear. Touch the text "Storage booster" at the middle of the screen.
4. Another new screen will appear and touch the text "Move content to SD card" near the bottom of the screen.
5. In the next screen, put the switch against "All apps" to "on" position.

That is all. I did this for Whatsapp and saved about 1.2 GB space of phone memory, which is only 16 GB for J7 (2016)
