Is thise background play is a new features on youtube

 but thise features is only for premium users and i have not purchased premium and while closing youtube the viedo is playing in background

May be it is a bug on the youtube or youtube is rolling out this feature for all. I have also noticed that some videos play in a popup even when i minimized the app😂
