Description:
Hello,
I am facing an issue with my Samsung Galaxy F12. Whenever I set a custom ringtone, the quality of the sound is much lower compared to the original file. It sounds distorted and muffled.

Here are a few things I have tried but the issue persists:

• Used high-quality MP3 and WAV files.
• Reapplied the ringtone multiple times.
• Cleared the cache of the Sounds and Notifications app.
• Tested different ringtones, including default ones.

Despite these efforts, the problem remains. My phone is up to date with the latest software version.

Is this a known issue? If so, are there any fixes or workarounds?
Looking forward to advice from the community or Samsung support.

Thank you!

Check the Audio Format: Ensure your ringtone is in MP3 format and try different bit rates.

Sometimes, even high-quality WAV files can cause issues because the phone's codecs might handle them differently.

Try a ringtone, not try to make a song of 3:00 into 0:30

Reset the Ringtone Settings: Go to Settings > Sounds and Vibration > Ringtone and set it back to a default ringtone for a while, then reapply your custom ringtone.

Use Default Apps: Instead of using third-party apps, ensure you're using built-in apps for setting your ringtones.

Can you suggest me some third-party applications, if you know?

Check Sound Enhancements: Disable any sound enhancements like Dolby Atmos or Equalizer settings. These can sometimes distort your ringtones.
