Galaxy FI can understand how frustrating this is, especially since you have already faced a motherboard issue in the past. If your front camera is stuck or the "Switch" button is unresponsive after the One UI 6.1 February Update, it is likely a Driver Conflict or a Camera Server hang.
Since your mobile is otherwise working fine, please follow these steps to fix the camera software:
🛠️ Step 1: Force Reset Camera App
Go to Settings > Apps > Camera.
Tap on Force Stop.
Go to Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data. (This will not delete your photos).
Restart your phone and check if the camera switches now.
🛠️ Step 2: Wipe Cache Partition (Recovery Mode)
This is the most effective way to fix bugs after a major security patch.
Turn off your phone.
Connect it to a PC/Laptop via USB cable.
Press and hold Volume Up + Power Button until the Samsung logo appears.
Use volume keys to select "Wipe Cache Partition" and press Power to confirm.
Select "Reboot System Now".
🛠️ Step 3: Check in Safe Mode
To see if a 3rd party app (like Instagram/Snapchat) is blocking the camera:
Restart your phone and hold the Volume Down button while it's booting until you see "Safe Mode" at the bottom.
If the camera works in Safe Mode, a third-party app is causing the hang. Uninstall recently updated apps.
🛠️ Step 4: Final Resort - Hardware Diagnostic
If the camera still doesn't open:
Open the Samsung Members app.
Go to Support > Phone Diagnostics > Front Camera.
If it shows "Action Required" or an error code, please visit the service center. Since this happened immediately after an update, you can request them to "Flash the Software" again, which often fixes update-related bugs for free.
✅ Expert Tip: Samsung Community mein sahi aur sateek jaankari share karna hamara maksad hai. Agar is solution se aapka camera issue resolve ho gaya hai, toh please is Comment ke baju mein bane three vertical dots (⋮) par click karke 'Accept as Solution' select karein. Isse hamari mehnat ko appreciation milta hai aur Samsung team tak ye feedback pahunchta hai! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 💙🚀
