Dear Samsung team,

I had been trying to show some personal document at a sophisticated place to my personal doctor and this is what appears as first screen on discover area of your homepage. If i assume samsung is a korean company then i wish to tell you that such things may be common there but we feel ashamed to see such things especially when we open our mobile in front of some sophisticated person.
This breaks my samsung association and keeps F23 5G as my first and last tried samsung phone. This is what you like others to see.Ashamed of you samsung !!!

As I said it in another comment.. It is too bad to do this by a reputation reputated company.

But this is too bad... Even if it is a budget device, they should not put inappropriate ads, that is unacceptable.. For that, shame on Samsung.

Imagine a lady senior most dermatologist asks for your phone to take pic of some affected area of your face to keep as today record.
When she open your mobile, straight away she return to you showing this app and then instead uses her own phone to take pic and send to you on whatsapp, how embarassing this would be for you??

Discover is such a useless ( and infuriating, such a waste of space ) "feature".
You can turn off discover by long pressing the home screen to enter home screen editing and then home screen settings > discover.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we would request you to kindly perform the following steps to resolve your issue.

Disable the Google ads:Path: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of ads personalization > Disable.

Disable Google ads settings:Path: Tap on Ads by Google > Add settings > Disable Google ads settings.

Enable pop-up blocker:Path: Internet browser > Settings > Advanced > Enable pop-up blocker.

Contain ads function. Kindly check the Contain ads function while downloading any app from the Play Store. (If any application contains ads then it is mentioned under the name of that application while downloading from the Play Store).

Samsung Account Privacy Settings. First things first, the best way to avoid ads on your Samsung Galaxy phone is by stopping them before they start. Samsung’s ads are all opt-in, so being vigilant during set-up can help you avoid them. You can find the opt-in for ads option in the setup of your Samsung account. The ‘use the customization service’ toggle will enable personalized promotions on Samsung apps. This won’t fully disable ads but will stop them from being personalized with your data.

If you missed this option during set-up, you can still opt out of personalized ads by following these steps: Settings> Samsung Account> Security and privacy> Customisation Service> Customised ads and direct marketing to turn off.

Block ads from Samsung Internet: Samsung Internet app> Tap on the 3 lines icon> Ad blockers> Download a suggested ad blocker> Now you are protected from ads.

Update the software if available: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-galaxy-smartphone-how-to-update-software/

You can reset your device by following the steps.
1. Kindly create a data backup of your device via the SMART switch mobile application or http://www.samsung.com/in/support/smartswitch pc suite.
2. Remember the Google password before resetting the device because it is required during initial setup.
3. If you do not remember then advise to reset (Forgot password) his/her Google account.

Path: Settings> General Management.>Reset>Temporary cloud backup or External storage backup>After backup tab on Factory data reset to reset your device to its factory default settings.
This will erase all data, including files and downloaded apps.

If the issue persists, kindly report the problems with a log file. To share a log file, click on the Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on error report > Type your query > Send).

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
