If it is for getting to recovery mode or download mode or USB internet: Buy appropriate cable for your Pc, if pc has USB 2.0 you can get USB to type c. If USB port is older than 2.0 then there is no compatibility.
For working on your phone through Pc, Link your phone feature does not come with windows 7, no native support.
Anydesk or similar screen sharing/remote access apps can help if cable is not available.
